I met up with one of my oldest business contacts come friends in Sydney ever. When I first arrived in city as decided to settle here and make a life here (sounds like in the colonial days), I realised that I probably need a job.

This was way before I had any idea of becoming a Marketing Mentor & Coach. As I had no money at all, I started meeting recruiters around town.

It took me a good 6 months and more to get a job, and one of the earliest recruiters I met was a powerhouse woman by name of Rebecca Kemp. She is everywhere, has all the top placements and is one of Sydney’s top recruiters.

We reconnected and met up recently and it was great! I look at her now with very different eyes to what I did a decade ago and we spoke about succeeding at the start.

I asked her when she started as a recruiter, how many phone calls did she make a day?

It was 20 to 30. Yes, 20 to 30 phone calls Rebecca made to build her client base day in and day out. This was cool and it’s exactly what I have done in times of my business to get growth, meetings, clients and fill workshops.

20 to 30 phone calls a day! It’s a bit, but it works great and it how we break through and get clients.

My advice and thinking? Be it you started your business yesterday or have been going for a while; make continual calls reaching out to people. When you make say 20 a day like Rebecca Kemp did, you will do great and make lots of money.

Numbers work! Do the numbers ???? Believe me. It all plays out.
