I get asked all the time about running Meetup Groups based on my own wins and success.
They are really good and lately; I have been running a few Meetup Social Groups as part of my Meetup HQ role looking after Sydney.
Social Groups for me are quite new, and combined with business groups; they are really good. They offer a totally different dynamic where you get to speak to people more, answer particular questions and build great relationships.
My advice and thinking? If you are already running Meetup Business Style events, consider doing some Social ones. It creates a different dynamic where everyone can become friends and it’s great for helping everyone win big.
