As I entered my mid 30’s, I got very interested in politics.
Many things brought me in there; from fear about my future, the loss of Western Civilisation and more. It all brought me into wanting to be part of the future.
Turns out we’re now winning which rocks and I have been helping my local Candidate Geoff Lee win his re-election for the State Seat of Parramatta (in Western Sydney, Australia).
Geoff Lee is a very smart and amazing guy and I have learned so much from him. One key part of winning an election that he originally told me that I have seen for myself is knocking on doors, saying hello and meeting people in the street.
Yes, even though we have the Internet, Facebook, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Teachable, Websites, Video, Google and more; it’s still meeting people and them getting to know you. I have found this to be true in that as you meet people in the real world, they trust you fast and join your side.
In winning this election, it’s all street work and it rocks. Don’t get me wrong, we’re still cranking Facebook, but it’s only part of the equation.
My advice and thinking? Face to face friends. Make it part of what you do as it just works. Even today.
Love your work, thank you for the read and stay awesome friends!
