Who knows whether my new Facebook Advertisement will work or not? Question everything!

It’s been a very awesome long weekend (in Sydney) of challenging my sacred cows and trying ‘new’ things to really take my business to the next level.

I have been improving everything and one of the key massive projects / tasks for me in 2016 has been getting the website powerful, the Facebook performing and driving lots of sales and leads online.

For me; it’s required having ‘nothing sacred’. What I mean by that is letting go of my bias, my need to be ‘correct’ and never ever accepting anything is unquestionable. There is this very funny term out there called ‘sacred cows’ which according to Google is defined as:

– “an idea, custom, or institution held to be above criticism (with reference to the Hindus’ respect for the cow as a holy animal).”

What I have found that can happen almost too easy is that we get into a rhythm and one can assume “Well, that is working perfectly and I am not too worried”. It’s a very dangerous assumption to make in that we may have areas of the business that just need work and the ‘sacred cows’ often isn’t little good for us.

My lesson of late has been making sure that we question everything. Any area can be improved and the challenge we face is working out which area requires our attention next. It can be very easy to give areas of our marketing that we think are ‘awesome’ but the market actually doesn’t care about.

Equally, we can think we are doing an ‘awesome’ job somewhere but in total reality; we are not and it requires improvement.

My advice and thinking? Be forever vigilant and question what you are doing. If you say am doing something right; questioning it will make it stronger and you smarter. If say an area of your business needs lots of work; questioning it will make you either scrap it or rapidly improve it.

For me it’s been that in a heavily online respect. I want it working incredibly well and every day I get somewhat closer to that objective. Go hard, don’t stop and smile as you lift your own game.

Thanks for the read, love your work and stay awesome friends!
