Winning comes from being part of the right communities…
It’s Friday, I am on my feet at a bar at a Novotel on the Beach and I was busy pondering what on earth I am going to blog about today.
Then, just on Facebook it came to me as a bolt of lightning from the ether above:
- “This week, NSW Business Chamber signed up its 20,000th member, and we couldn’t be happier!”
I immediately smiled, shared it, thought about my previous missions and have totally declared that it’s great to be on the winning team. That is right now I am succeeding and winning.
Before you think that I have an ego problem, I am the first to tell you that I am not the reason I am winning. I am winning because of the awesome JC and the wonderful people around me that are supporting me.
In fact, a good third of my life has been rather dysfunctional because I thought ‘Winning’ and ‘Succeeding’ was up to me. I was surrounded at many points in my life by the wrong people, and what a shock? Things weren’t going my way.
With thanks to some great feedback, awesome support from my friends and family I did a massive shakeup of my business over 2016 and to this current point in time. It’s totally awesome!
I left communities, changed the way I dealt with certain communities and joined new places such as the awesome New South Wales Business Chamber. As I joined this Chamber, I get many new clients, have new wonderful friends, the motivation, inspiration and also a great opportunity to invite my friends to come and experience.
IT HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING!
The post that they have crossed 20,000 comes as little surprise to me. In fact, I am surprised it’s not 100,000 yet – but I am doing my small part to change that.
My advice and thinking? You’re winning comes from the communities you are part of the people you’re surrounded by. I have proven that many times (often painfully in my own life).
