For those that are in Coaching, Sales or have studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP); you will probably be able to pick my learning style.

Rookies tend to pick me as Visual, with the seasoned veterans correctly picking me as ‘Auditory’. This basically means that I tend to process the world, information and decision making through linguistics, logic, debating and ‘word based’ decision making.

Even though I love a wonderful movie or watching crazy political stuff on YouTube; ultimately ‘audio’ is very important for me. I have found it very important for my fans too in that you can have say average visuals in a video, but if you have bad audio it creates a bad reaction.

Be it a leaf blower in the background, water in the phone microphone muffling the noise, a low voice or incessant mumbling; it doesn’t create a great experience.

For me audio is critical. Be it you are doing a Live Webinar, LinkedIn Video, Facebook Live or even something semi-professional for the website, you want beautiful, crisp and CRYSTAL-CLEAR audio.

For webinars I use this awesome DJ mic from Samson. They are DJ equipment specialists with a great range of microphones and I use this for my Live Webinars. The audio quality is so much better than using say a PC or Tablet built in microphone.

When I am doing videos on my phone, I make sure to watch for background noise and hold it nice and close whilst speaking with a strong voice. This gives a great signal with strong results and great feedback.

My advice and thinking? Audio quality is key to great AV content. It doesn’t cost much money to do it well (as it’s more technique that so much equipment).

Think about your audio as you work away friends and of course, happy content creation and you stay awesome!
