All these beautiful people make the British Chamber nights WONDERFUL!
It was early in just 2016 where my friend Mark Kyte invited me to join him a “Whisky Tasting Night” event in in Sydney CBD. I have never actually tasted Whisky much before (even though I was in the Australia Army once) and especially never had at a Business Networking event.
At the time I agreed to this, I was actually fairly new to the ‘Chamber’ scene across Sydney. In about 180 seconds of being in the environment I decided to join and it was a life enhancing move and I loved it.
Almost a year later I was at Summer Drinks Event at the Ivy Pool Bar attending yet another one of the fantastic Australian British Chamber of Commerce events.
It originally took me a good few months to get going and I have made new friends, got plenty of new high value clients, made inroads into new industries and interestingly it has transformed my life on many levels beyond business.
It’s a powerful affluent environment with people that are generous and successful with quite few millionaires who spend their time there. Looking at things from a different ‘Non-Marketing’ viewpoint, it’s been this whole new circle of friends I have made that has started to transform how I think and my life on many levels.
From my friend Lana, to Nick, Chris, Dave, Claire, Jessica, Sue, Julie, Cameron and many more; I attend their events usually at least once a month and meet new great people every time. Events are held in exotic locations from office buildings overlook the CBD, the harbour, pool clubs on top of buildings and cool bars across town. Yes I am getting clients and great high value clients which is wonderful, however the British Chamber has done so much more for me including:
- New wonderful friends.
- Giving me a new opportunity to invite my friends too.
- Great referrals and inroads into new parts of the market.
- Abundant’ can do thinkers which by association I benefit from.
- An extension to my own community reach with people that inspire me
- AND really fantastic nights of fun, enjoyment and friendship; that is fully business justifiable!
In summary it’s wonderful and my advice and thinking? If you are in Sydney and in the business space, please check out their website and join their next event. You shall love it. If you aren’t, Australian British Chamber may be in your state and I am sure if you hit the Chambers in your town – you will find wonderful events where you just fit hand in glove.
It’s helped transform my business and life for the better and I love it.
