The Breakfast View from Pan Pacific Manila – my last supper on my big trip. The closing of this chapter has got me reflecting on the new!

I have had an amazing Business Trip with many Low’s and High’s that have led to brilliant transformations in myself, my knowledge and understanding of the world.  It has cost me lots of money and time and it’s all been well worth it so I chalk this one up as one successful mission.

As I sit having my last breakfast at the conclusion of my trip in Manila, Philippines it has got me reflecting onto life in general and the many “Chapters” we have.  Negative or Positive – as I sound like an old Persian Man (of 35) it’s got me thinking as to the cycles in life and how all things start and finish.

I am not a massive fan of negative experiences, nor do I ask God for more of them right now – but in reflection all chapters of life have led to many greater things.

During my trip I got some compelling pieces of advice and from Leadership Coach Debbie Huxton she made this brilliant point of (in trying to paraphrase as best as I can):

– “Even the most painful experiences in life can lead to positive outcomes based on how you look at it”.

In looking back as to the closure of “Painful” chapters in my life, there have been most positive changes that have come from them.  Be it people moving on from me, several times losing my home and dealing with sickness – WITHOUT those experiences there is no way I would enjoy the quality of life I do today.

And talking to pleasurable chapters too, I have loved the Learning / Party element of my trip and I am looking forward to it coming to a close too.  Nobody can party forever and I am all pumped to getting back into the action in the Hustle and Bustle of Sydney, Australia.

My thinking and advice from all this? Life is all full of chapters and old ones finish, new ones open, some are painful, some are pleasurable – but when you guide the lessons you learn the right way, it leads to one compelling book.

Have a great day or night everyone! Time for me to get up and finish exploring Manila for one last time.
