I have been seriously doing my best to eat healthier. So far so good! Less wine, more water, less bread, more salad and even replacing my ‘late night chocolate energy session’ with a Tropical Berocca.
The business has been rocking as of late and I have been doing my best to keep up with all the new awesome clients, delivering maximum quality and our line up of impressive events.
Within this whole experience, it has forced me to really look into the darkly mirror on the wall and question my eating and that side of things. Even though I hit the gym and exercise a lot; my eating isn’t where it should be.
Interestingly in the ‘old days’ (about 2 months ago) when I wasn’t as busy, eating healthy was easy. Now I am on the go all the time it is so much harder and it’s forced me to meet this threat within by being more diligent, focus and just ‘putting down the fork!’
What I have been practising lately (that seems to working) is not cutting back food but substitution. That has played out really well in that today with a new awesome client, I went to Bondi Pizza with her for lunch.
Did I get the beautiful Pizza? As in the Gourmet one?
NO 🙂 I got the Chilli Prawn Salad and I loved it.
Did I then get the Chocolate Fudge Brownie Swirls I like? NO 🙂
I got a cup of coffee and it rocked.
My advice and thinking? Eating healthy isn’t easy wonderful friends and I am the first to tell you that I have had issues there. However, it’s something I think we must forever keep working at in that it gets better and easier as time passes.
Substitution / going the healthier option works great. It may be hard at times, but you feel good, have more energy and your clothes start feeling that beautiful ‘loose again’ (yes).
Watch it as you get older wonderful friends, it creeps up on ya!
Love your work, thanks for the read and here is to great healthy options!
