Running a business & marketing are one of the those very cool, yet very fickle things we often to have to forever work on.

For me, it’s been a great four years and I have been very satisfied with how things are playing out. It’s still far from perfect, however my drive is only increasing the the research and coming along great.

When it comes to Websites, Business, Products, Marketing and the like – I used to very much (incorrectly) think that when I reach a given point, it will all be fine and I ‘shall be there’.

That could not be further from the truth in that I find myself forever improving and upgrading whatever I do. This can be anything from wording, graphics, how I use Facebook and even coming up with my tagline a good 6 months ago (Grow, Succeed & Prosper) – the more I do, is the more I wish to do in order to improve things.

What I have personally found and what I highly recommend to clients is exactly that, regardless of where you are at, you need to be directing your business the way you want and continually improving things.

One important caveat to all this is making sure you are improving your business where it matters. It can be very easy to ‘Improve Stuff’, but if it’s not what really matters, you can waste a lot of time.

I did a ‘Good’ job in 2015 and I want to do a ‘Great’ job in 2016 and one bit of very fair critique I give myself for 2015 was focusing at times in the wrong areas. I spent too much time trying to improve my networking in the wrong places (including dealing with politics & distractions) and not enough time on Online Technology, Vaults, Webinars till much later on.

This cost me big time and my lesson and thinking from all this? Always improve, but focus on the key areas that really matter. Think big, think long term and make sure you don’t get caught up in the junk.

Love your work, thanks for the read and Stay Awesome!
