Last night’s new venue made our event even greater. I should have moved earlier!
I am really happy! As sit at my Windows 10 Touchscreen Desktop with my Orange Berocca talking to you wonderful people, I am happy (and probably more relieved) at how our Profitable Marketing Workshop went last night.
These are the events we run in Sydney CBD and we had problems with our last venue. Big problems. They were doing renovations and for whatever reason they didn’t like me bringing groups of 20+ to their venue on quiet nights (lol).
So we moved on and found that fantastic venue being the Villaggio Restaurant at the City of Sydney RSL. It’s fantastic and we had one incredible event last night, great turnout, dinner made it more fun and people were just so happy.
I now look back and think:
- Why didn’t I do that sooner? Why! Why! Why?
This has actually had me not sleeping much during the night questioning this reasoning and getting me to think that it’s time for a massive ‘Shake Up’ in what I have been doing. I have been doing it gradually, but it’s time to increase the speed (big time) with a ‘Shake Up’ basically meaning in business the time where you review everything, try new things and improve performance.
The key here is ‘trying new things’ which I agree can be scary. You don’t know if it’s going to work or not and during a shakeup, it’s very possible to make mistakes. The reality is though that it’s the only way to improve!
You must try new things to get traction, patronage and results and it’s exactly what I am doing now on a greater scale. I have found that the best way of doing things is do a massive shake up, get improvements and then consolidate one’s position for a short while to let those changes migrate through to the business.
Once that is complete, it’s great to return into shake up mode and keep improving things. For me it’s been incredible and last night was a strong testament of that.
My advice and thinking?
If there is an area of your business that you know isn’t getting you the results you expect, it’s time for a shake up! Change what you are doing. Come up with new ideas and put them into play. It’s the only way things tend to improve quickly. I am doing this now in other areas to improve my business too after last night’s epic win. Do it for yourself and smile friends!
