Elly Hurley rocks and we are both wonderful people who once carried guns x x
For those that have worked in Military or Law Enforcement, they always look at me sideways as they figure me out. As we talk and make friends, I either get asked “Who did I work with?”, “What did you do before Marketing?” or even at times, “Did I go to the Gulf?”
That style and look that came from heavy training with the Federal Government and then time on the mean streets seems to have set for life and my look has totally gone there.
Today was great when I caught up with Elly Hurley. She is a Marketing Consultant that works with Chatbots and Lead Funnels. As we met up for the first time in a long time, I was figuring out and got a vibe from her of some type of Military Experience.
I picked her as a Sergeant with the NSW (State) Police. Elly had me picked too and later when we went for a walk together on the way to our next appointments, I asked her if I still looked like a Cop / Fed.
Her answer was that she felt that I was ‘escorting’ her and I smiled knowing that I still have my kick butt authority look.
My advice and thinking? I don’t have any advice for you in this blog. It’s quite a pointless blog when it comes to giving value. I just think it’s funny I still look like I am patrolling the beat.
