When I was 19, I got up and joined the Australian Army.
I was quite sick of my life, my victimhood and I had enough of myself to be totally honest with you. I was ready for the Army to crack me and rebuild me, and oh boy it did exactly that.
I can tell you some of the major transformations it made in my life, but one of the subtle ones which I like is a desire for ironed clothes.
I always iron my clothes and even though for along time I had cheap clothes (i.e. no money), I still looks very presentable. Today, I now have great clothes that are always nicely ironed.
What I notice in people today is that they wear expensive clothes and they don’t even iron them. It makes them look sloppy, unconvincing and even at times stupid. Then you get the other classy extreme. Someone wearing ‘cheap’ clothes, but they look just great as they have taken the time to iron their clothes to give them that organised and winning look.
My advice and thinking? Iron your clothes. It doesn’t take long, but it will make you look great and help add to your persuasion stack.
Love your work, happy ironing and stay awesome friends!
