Sometimes life does get a bit tough and it feels like you are being squeezed around a bit. My latest experiences have taught me the importance of being your best, when you don’t naturally feel your best!

As much as I love my business, the awesome people I work with and what I do – the past few weeks have been a struggle for me.  I love working long hours in my business and I did push myself that little bit too hard causing me to get a bit sick for a week or two.  I am getting back to full health now which is great, eager to hit the gym again and this experience has got me extra focused on building “Automation in my Business”.

The challenge for me over the past few weeks have in a way been going against my own emotions on a daily basis.  I love what I do and want to perform at my best at all times.  Having the standard energy I am used too has been tricky with lower health and this has been a true test of my own resolve in the respect in that I have performed at “My Best” when I don’t “Feel like my Best”.

When I was recovering, I was very tired and sometimes getting up was an issue for me.  It would really require me to use my own mental strength to get myself in the zone.  It was quite a challenge to me and I found was that for the first few days it was quite hard.

Then after a short while, the more I just made myself perform at my best, it became easier to perform at my best! I guess you may say in simple terms “I didn’t have to push myself anymore” and my own love and limitless motivation for what I do came flowing back to me.

Right now I am feeling quite good about things and this whole experience of getting sick and having to really focus my thoughts the right way made me reflect about the realities of life.  At times, things may not go our way for whatever reason and I think it’s those times where we really have to “Dig Deep”, guide our thoughts (even if it doesn’t feel natural) in a productive direction to get the job done to the high standards that we love.

My advice and learnings? Firstly look after yourself so you don’t get sick like I did and secondly – there are times where you got to smile, push yourself hard and the more you do it – the more “Natural” it becomes.  This makes you a robust, tough and awesome operator!

Thank you for the read great friends, I am glad my health is coming back and too some fun gym times again for me very soon!
