As I write this blog, I am almost out the door to visit wonderful people and prepare to MC at the wonderful NSW Business Chamber tonight.
While I am putting all my last bits and pieces together, I was thinking about what creates a great event.
One key factor is the food!
We are holding our Profitable Marketing Sydney Meetup at LOT.1 Sydney which is this trendy bar with many levels and great Italian food.
For our events, we have the Aperitivo Menu (which is a wonderful array of Italian Food including Salumi, Formaggio, Foccacia, Arancini, Polenta, Sicialian Olives and more).
It works great, I can barely pronounce what the items are; but I can tell you that they are visually impressive and taste great. In fact, their platters look incredible and there was a wonderful spread last night.
Food is a critical thing at your events and I have had all sorts of experiences. The bowl of chips and crackers at the back is not on; you want to serve quality, so people really love you, have a great time and appreciate what you do.
People also don’t mind paying for events! I charge people cost (meaning I don’t make a cent) in that they pay the venue directly. This gives the money to obviously pay for a great location and provide wonderful food that people love.
My advice and thinking? Food friends! Often overlooked, yet very important; get this right.
People will love it and it will further enhance their experience and will to buy from you.
I love your work, thank you for the read and stay awesome friends!
