If you are reading this article, I bet you know exactly the pain I am talking about. You say go business networking, start Facebook Advertising, start contacting people, spending lots of money and think:
OH MY CAWD! When are the sales going to start coming in?
Well my friends, I can only relate to you in on this and I know exactly what you are talking about. I was going through the same thing myself a few months ago when I made the move and “Upped” my Facebook Marketing budget.
This really hurt in the moment, but *I knew* I would get it back and over time I did and totally exceeded that. The reality with Facebook and just using this as an example is that the moment you start advertising, is not the moment people start buying.
That is, people say at Networking Events have to meet you lots of times and on Facebook – they have to see you lots of times until they consider anything – even signing up to a free event or webinar.
Yes, this totally sucks and I agree with you on this one, however talking reality this is sadly how it is.
The good news with all this? The moment we accept the truth that ‘it takes a bit of time’, it puts us in a stronger position.
We know that say our Marketing will take 2 – 3 months (or even longer to kick in) and we can plan for it. Be it being patient with our campaigns and developing realistic expectations.
My advice on this one? Realize it’s going to take a while and be cool about it, but make sure you are marketing a whole lwat.
I mean a lot. Visiting a networking event once a month won’t say you, as much as posting on LinkedIn once a fortnight. Come up with an active, intelligent and intense campaign and go hard for maximum results.
Love your work, thanks for the read and Stay Awesome!

Thats very true observation Edward, these days there’s so much on offer and we’re so busy. It takes time to know what we want and when to get it – taking action combined with spare time is the answer
